Amy Godfrey and Jamie Hamilton finished just a whisker out side the Division 2 times in their events. In their first open meet Jack Teggart and Jack Martin swam brilliantly, achieved great long course times and kept the eagle-eyed stroke judges happy. Run to very tight FINA meet conditions, a good few swimmers were disqualified in the meet and unfortunately Lecale swimmers Aaron Cooper and Daniel Mulholland suffered this fate in 200m breast and 100m fly respectively.
Overall it was a great day and Lecale encourages all of its gala squad swimmers to take the opportunity to compete over the longer distances offered in the open meets. The next open meet is the Swim Ulster Summer Meet in Lisburn on Saturday 21st June. Entry deadline is this Tuesday 3rd June.
