For the new members of the club, we hope they enjoyed their first of many Club Championships, they all did brilliant.
As always thank you to all the parents who helped with announcing, timekeeping, marshalling and recording at this Gala and throughout the season. As we always say, we couldn't do it without all your help.

RULES/NOTES:
- Official results will be published online on the night of the AGM and Prize Night.
- An * before times indicates a draw.
- Swimmers can only compete within one age band. Age groups are organised according to the year of birth, in line with training and PTL groups. For 2018 the age bands are: 2010 and younger, 2008-2009, 2006-2007, 2004-2005, 2003 and older. An X before a time indicates an Exhibition Swim. This is when a swimmer has competed in an additional heat or a different age group, or if a swimmer has swam the wrong stroke in all or part of an event. In this case the swimmer is given the opportunity to swim again but the time recorded will not count towards medals or championship points.
- Swimmers in Fundamentals 1 and Fundamentals 2 will against their peers in 25m backstroke, 25m breaststroke, 25m butterfly, 25m freestyle in the main pool. Younger swimmers will be accompanied by a senior swimmer with a float for their reassurance.
- Swimmers born in 2009 and older swim against their peers in 50m backstroke, 50m breaststroke, 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle, 100m IM and 100m freestyle. To ensure the smooth running of the gala, depending on time the 100m events may be limited to gala squad swimmers.
- Swimmers must compete according to the running order and may not swim out of sequence. Officials may merge heats on occasion to facilitate the smooth running of the event. This is at the discretion of the organisers.
- Any swims missed on the night or swum on the wrong night will not count for medals or towards the overall Club Championships. If you missed the first night of Championships, it may be possible to do the swim at the very end of the following night to get your time recorded. However, these extra swims can only take place after all swimmers have swum the night's three events and only if there is still time available before the pool closes at 9.30pm. These will be recorded as an Exhibition Swim and will be marked with an X before the time in the published results.
- Champions are decided by a points system. Championship points (5, 4, 3, 2, and 1) are awarded to the swimmers finishing in the top 5 positions in an event.
- Swimmers must compete in a minimum of four events to be eligible for Championship points.
- ALL swimmers who compete in 4 events, in the correct age group, will receive a commemorative medal.
- There will also be medals presented for the top 3 in each stroke from swimmers in the Development Squad (swimmers aged 2009 and older).
