Reminder: All entries for the PTL Time Trials in Newry on Saturday 12th March must be submitted to Oonagh by Friday 24th February. There is no facility for late entry.

Congratulations to the swimmers from both Lecale and Strule Dolphins for an exhilarating meet last night. The Lecale side swam well and secured twenty 1st place, thirty-two 2nd places and twenty-seven 3rd places. In all Lecale achieved fifty-two PBs over the fifty-six events. The competition was tight throughout but Strule Dolphins edged ahead and finished with 595 points to Lecale's 549 ponits. Full Lecale times can be viewed here.

Our young Aquasprint Gala Team have done us proud again, this time against Sliabh Beag from Monaghan.  After a shaky start in the Medley Relays, our individual swimmers raced down the pool to give us 21 first places!  
Team captains Nicholas Cleave and Amy Godfrey were part of one of the winning Freestyle Relay teams.  It was then a nail-biting wait while the scores were calculated; Lecale were victorious by a close margin: 176 to 220. 

Congratulations to all our swimmers, especially as there were some last minute changes due to illness.  Our next Aquasprints Gala is 5th March against Mid Ulster. 


Good luck to the PTLs next Saturday in Omagh - let's make it a hatrick! 

Will all squad swimmers please confirm their availability for this meet asap. Warm up is in Omagh at 6pm. Bus will be in Downpatrick from 3.45pm and will leave at 4pm sharp.
We have decided that, given the distances and competing over tea time, we will stop at a fast food outlet before leaving Omagh so you may wish to bring a few pounds for a hot snack. We expect to be back in Downpatrick by approximately 11.30pm.
