Jonathan Hamiliton-Cooper (Lecale teacher and Ripples Aquaschool teacher) is running private training sessions on Friday evenings over the summer for Lecale swimmers.

Lecale rounded off a great year's swimming with a very well-attended Prize Night and medals and trophies galore. Congratulations to all swimmers on the excellent progress you have made this year. Click here for full results from the Club Championship Galas. Some medals were not presented on the night due to a (rather large!) miscalculation. They may be collected on Sunday 23rd June 1-2pm, Monday 24th June 7.30-8.30pm and Tuesday 25th June 8-9.30pm. Apologies for any disappointment and inconvenience! All members and their families are invited to our AGM and Prize NIght in the leisure centre this Friday 21st June at 7pm.
LISBURN AQUATHLON

Enter online at https://www.triathlonireland-newserver.com/local-races.html. Closing date is early July. This year our end of year championship gala will take place on Friday 31st May and Friday 14th June. All swimmers have trained well this year and made excellent progress. There will be a lot of competition within the groups for the champions' trophies.
All club swimmers are invited to take part in this event. There is an award for all swimmers who complete four events. Swimmers born in 2000 or younger should come to the pool for 6.50pm. Older swimmers in C and D groups should come to the pool for 8pm. LOTS of parents will be needed to timekeep on both nights. 7pm, Friday 31st May 25m backstroke (2004 & younger) 25m breaststroke (2004 @ younger) 50m backstroke 50m breaststroke 100m freestyle (PTL A gala and B, C, D groups only) 7pm, Friday 14th June 25m fly (2004 & younger) 25m free (2004 @ younger) 50m fly 50m freestyle 100m IM (PTL A gala and B, C, D groups only) Swimmers will swim according to the meet programme. Groups may be merged on occasion to facilitate the running of the meet. B, C and D gala swimmers should be aware that correct stroke technique, touches and turns are essential to avoid disqualification. Training pool swimmers will swim first, followed by 2004 and younger and so on up through the groups. Swimmers will compete within two year age bands as per PTL groups: 2004 and younger, 2002-2003, 2000-2001, 1998-1999, 1997 and older. All swimmers must stay on poolside for the duration of the meet. Any swimmer who is not on poolside when called will miss their opportunity to compete. Day 2 of our Club Championship Gala is this Friday. Swimmers born in 2004 or younger will swim from 7pm. Swimmers born in 2003 or later need to be on poolside for 7.45pm ready for their events.
The fly, free and 100m IM event will count towards championship points. Scroll down for more details of format in earlier post. Will any gala squad swimmer, Aquasprint or PTL, who wishes to enter the Swim Ulster Novice Meet on 22nd June please bring your £3/event entry fee in an envelope (marked with your name and events) to Oonagh on Friday night.
